January 25, 2000 - A Thought Crushed My Mind and King Of The Closet

Eight days after my last release and a little over two years since their self-titled debut, Blindside released their second album "A Thought Crushed My Mind" on January 25, 2000. Just like their debut, I only have one song off this album, and it's called "King Of The Closet". Christian Lindskog comes in screaming right from the get-go and he sounds pretty good yelling loudly overtop a bit of a repetitive, but still solid main guitar riff. It's a pretty catchy chorus for such a heavy song as Lindskog screams "I'm a vampire, I'm a vampire, i'm afraid the light will set me on FIRE". After another round there's a cool part that isn't quite a solo but it still sounds solid and then they wrap things up with a final verse and chorus. This was another pretty cool song from Blindside  it's too bad they can't sound this good all the time!
