February 28, 2000 - Stiff Upper Lip and Stiff Upper Lip

Three weeks after my last release and almost ten years since their last appearance in my library, AC/DC released their fourteenth album "Stiff Upper Lip" on February 28, 2000. As we know, I am not a big AC/DC fan at all, but I do have one more song by them, the hit title track off this album "Stiff Upper Lip". Angus Young plays a catchy little guitar riff and Brian Johnson sounds solid singing in a lower voice at first, but he quickly changes to his typical higher voice that sounds alright but certainly not great. This song is a very typical AC/DC song, but it's pretty damn catchy and I can't help but sing along with the chorus even though it's really nothing too special. I liked this song a lot more when I was younger and even though it's pretty average, it gives me a nostalgic feeling. Angus's solo is decent, but it's pretty slow and definitely could've been better. This all sums up AC/DC pretty well and it's a fitting farewell as this is my last song by AC/DC!
