July 29, 1997 - Official Live: 101 Proof

A month after my last release and a year since "The Great Southern Trendkill", Pantera released a live album called "Official Live: 101 Proof" on July 29, 1997. I don't have any of the live songs off this album, but there are also two new studio songs! The first one is "Where You Come From" and Dimebag Darrell leads the way with some fantastic guitar throughout this one. Phil Anselmo sounds pretty good singing the verse and chorus but the guitar is fast and pretty damn cool every second of this song, especially an electric solo that melts your face the perfect amount. Words don't do proper justice, it's a pretty sweet extra tune! The other new song is much shorter and is called "I Can't Hide". Rex Brown and Dimebag both play some pretty fast stuff in this high-tempo song and they nicely break it down for a slower, but nice and heavy ending. It's only just over two minutes, but it's pretty good and these two songs were both pretty cool. I can't wait for Pantera's next album!
