September 3, 1996 - Venus Isle and Camel's Night Out

Two and a half months since my last release and a long six years since his last album "Ah Via Musicom", guitarist Eric Johnson released his third album "Venus Isle" on September 3, 1996. I only had one song off that album six years ago and I only have one off this album as well, but it's another pretty good one with a weird name, "Camel's Night Out". Eric plays some solid guitar throughout the song, but it's the lengthy guitar solo in the middle that is definitely the highlight. He shreds pretty damn quickly at times and it's a pretty freaking cool guitar solo. There's some nice drums during the flourish ending as well. I don't think this was as good as "Cliffs Of Dover", but it was still a pretty cool song. This is the last we'll hear from Eric Johnson in my library, so long!
