September 12, 1995 - Lenny Kravitz and Rock And Roll Is Dead

Eight days after my last release a new artist joins my library when Lenny Kravitz released his fourth album "Circus" on September 12, 1995. I'm not a big fan of his, and I only have one song off this album, the big hit single "Rock And Roll Is Dead". But who is Lenny Kravitz? He is from New York City and he is a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, including doing just about all the instruments on this album, including guitar, bass, drums and keyboards. That's all pretty impressive! Let's listen to what Lenny can do! This song is driven by an extremely catchy main guitar riff that is undeniably pretty cool. Lenny's singing isn't my favourite but it's not terrible, but he sure seems like a solid bassist, drummer and guitarist. It's a solid song for sure and we'll be hearing from Lenny again later on.
