March 15, 1976 - Destroyer and Shout It Out Loud
Another month has passed since my last release and just 6 months after their first live album, Kiss released their fourth studio album "Destroyer" on March 15, 1976, of which I have just one song called "Shout It Out Loud". As I said last year, I am not a big Kiss fan, and this will be the last time we hear them in my library. Once again, they managed to make a song that is just so hard not to sing along to as Kiss really loved to write songs for their massive audiences to sing back to them. Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons both sing lead vocals on this song that in typical Kiss fashion is about partying as loud as possible and not letting anyone tell you otherwise! Ace Frehley's guitar solo is alright as these guys are content to jam out the chorus over and over. This song is pretty repetitive, but it's also really catchy as this would become another classic rock radio staple. That's it for Kiss for me though as I have better things to listen to!
